A compelling and brilliant LinkedIn profile identifies your ideal audience, tells them what you can do for them and shares all the relevant information about you that they might need. 

This includes:

  • Identifying your values and strengths
  • Highlighting your accomplishments

When I look at profiles, I first assess them based upon their "blink" impact. What does your profile tell your audience in the first 15 seconds they see your profile picture and headline? Are they driven to read your summary? Will they click to read more or will they click to move on to the next profile? 

A good profile picture that shows the natural light in your eyes is so important. As is a headline that is specific and narrow-casts. You don't need to reach everyone, you do need to reach your ideal audience.
